Invitation to Participate in Workshops on the Rural Housing Action Guide for Wales

We are reaching out to you on behalf of the team at RHE Global involved in developing the Rural Housing Action Guide for Wales. 

The Welsh Government has commissioned RHE to create this guide to address the challenges of delivering affordable housing in rural Welsh communities, improve housing quality and availability, and support the Welsh Government’s housing objectives. This guide is designed to support local authorities, housing associations, developers, and community organisations in overcoming challenges related to rural housing development.

As we enter the stakeholder engagement phase, we would like to invite you and your network to participate in one of a series of upcoming workshops. These workshops aim to gather feedback from key stakeholders involved in rural housing development in Wales. To facilitate your participation, RHE will provide a copy of the ‘Summary of the Proposed Rural Housing Action Guide for Wales,’ which offers an overview of the proposed guide’s structure and content, prior to the event.

We kindly ask if you could share this invitation with your networks, including any organisations or individuals you believe would have a valuable contribution to make. This is a great opportunity for stakeholders across Wales to have their say in shaping the future of rural housing.

To confirm your interest, and availability to join one of the assigned workshops, or to share contacts who might be interested, please click on this link. The workshops will be limited in capacity, and we will confirm places once we have received responses from all invitees. The deadline for responses is 19/09/2024. Should you prefer to participate in interviews, engage in workshop discussions, or receive project communications in Welsh, please indicate your Welsh language preference. 

The workshops are scheduled from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and will last three hours. Sessions will be conducted via MS Teams and recorded for analysis purposes. An agenda, a privacy notice explaining how your data will be used, and additional details will be sent closer to the event date. If you or your colleagues are unable to attend the planned workshops, online surveys will also be available in due course.
