A popular suggestion in recent surveys and conversations was that of being able to log multiple cases as one incident.
Why we developed this feature
Often there are many residents in the same locality who are affected by the same noise source. With this in mind, we’ve worked on the app to give officers an overall view of the hotspot areas for noise complaints, yet have retained their ability to investigate cases individually.
This additional functionality allows for a comprehensive view of noise complaints, facilitating a more strategic approach to tackling persistent issues.
How does it work?
To log an incident, simply select a case and relate it to an existing or new incident.
Future initiatives will enable us to provide a map view of these incidents, which can then provide other metrics in the affected areas, giving officers the ability to compare year on year the change in ASB and noise issues.
How will this impact our customers?
Housing associations and local councils can now easily identify and address recurrent problems, ensuring a more effective response to community concerns.
Remaining proactive is important to those using The Noise App, and this feature allows for just that. Being able to track an issue affecting multiple reporters lets officers handle those cases in unison, which in turn could prevent future occurrences.
The Noise App is a digital tool to triage and manage noise complaints for environmental health, housing and community safety. For more information, go to thenoiseapp.com or contact us on [email protected] to explore our range of subscriptions.
