The Latest Activity on the Housing Professionals Forum

16th April 2019 RIAMS

Over the past few weeks, there have been a variety of blogs and digests posted in the Housing Professionals Forum on RIAMS Communities, over and above the discussions going on between forum members.

Today, we posted a new blog written by Steve Battersby covering the new Rogue Landlord Enforcement Guidance; you can access the blog and contribute to the discussion here.

On 9 April, a new digest was uploaded covering the issuing of improvement notices for category 2 hazards. The improvement notice was served by City of Stoke-on-Trent Council on Adeos-UK Ltd after an informal approach did not lead to the remedial works being carried out in good time. You can find out more about this case here.

Finally, on 5 April, a blog was posted called ‘Another case of interest!’ While this covers a case, Steve handled this as a blog. It is a decision of the High Court and involved a judicial review of Hull City Council’s revised enforcement policy. Humber Landlords Association v Hull City Council [2019] EWHC 332 (Admin); to find out more, click here.

To make sure you’re always getting the latest, why not make sure you have your notifications set up on RIAMS Communities?
