Online learning at your convenience. Earn CPD without leaving your workplace.
RHE Global, recognised for many years as delivering high quality, practical classroom courses for professionals working in environmental health and the housing sector, are now expanding into the e-Learning market. Whether you are looking for individual training or to expand the skills of your whole team, our expert trainers are developing new courses to help.
There are 2 online training courses available. Investigative Skills provides a substantial and detailed introduction or refresher to investigation skills for those dealing with enforcement issues. The course content will familiarise learners with the basic rules relating to the collection and handling of evidence through to preparing a prosecution file and giving evidence in court.
The objectives of this course are:
To understand the legal and practical processes involved in conducting a criminal investigation.
To appreciate the rules of evidence and how to apply them.
To understand the consequences of not applying the rules and how this can impact on a case.
To understand how to apply the principles learnt during the course in practice.
To demonstrate an understanding of the legal principles.
Although the programme has been designed for those working in a regulatory environment, there are no prerequisites and is, therefore, open to anyone who may be interested.
Our second available course is Street Scene Enforcement. This course covers a number of the typical issues encountered by local authority officers. Across 10 modules, the topics covered are local environmental quality, littering, dog fouling, abandoned vehicles, fly-tipping, graffiti and fly-posting, control of waste, control of dogs and animal trespass. Each module provides some background information on the topic and outlines the legal options available and how these can be applied to address the issue.
The objectives of this course are to:
Provide details of the legislative regimes that apply to a range of street scene offences.
Understand the enforcement options that are available to the local authority (and others).
Understand how the enforcement options can be used in a reasonable and proportionate way.
It has been produced for local authority officers such as environmental officers, street wardens, park rangers, etc. who deal street scene issues on the frontline.
Our e-Learning courses can be customised to meet your requirements or those of different members of staff within your organisation. If you’re interested in taking just a couple of modules as a refresher or you don’t need to take the exam, if you want to book multiple colleagues onto the same modules or need to tailor the course to fit particular roles within your organisation, we can facilitate that for you. See details below.
