On Wednesday 23 October, the Noise Abatement Society is hosting the John Connell Awards 2019 at the Palace of Westminster and RHE is sponsoring The Noise App Award 2019.
This award ceremony is named in honour of John Connell OBE, the far-sighted founder of the Noise Abatement Society, who successfully lobbied the Noise Abatement Act through Parliament to establish noise as a statutory nuisance for the first time in 1960.
Noise Abatement Society CE Gloria Elliott said “High volumes of noise issues in the community present a significant challenge to local authorities. The Noise App has helped to open up new opportunities to facilitate the complaints process.
“The John Connell Noise App Award 2019 sponsored by RHE Global is an important recognition of local authority front line achievements in solving complex noise issues for the public benefit.”
Other categories for this award ceremony include
- Local Authority Award
