Applying Statutory Nuisance Law Consistently

21st November 2019 RIAMS

If you deal with statutory nuisance as part of your role, do you think the legislation is clear enough to be consistently interpreted by practitioners, recipients and the courts, with appropriate sanctions for breaches? Are regulators willing and able to use the powers available? Are the courts willing to apply the law consistently?

These questions are being considered by Tim Everett, former CIEH President, as part of his PhD research at De Montford University, Leicester and he is looking for your help in conducting this research.

If you have a few minutes to spare, head over to the survey here. You can find out more about this research and how the information gathered will be used here.
