Accessibility Changes to RHE Services
20th May 2021 The Noise App
Ahead of the September 2021 deadline, we have been working on our accessibility projects to try to ensure that users with a range of abilities are able to use our services. You may have noticed some changes to the RIAMS homepage, The Noise App (app) and the single sign-on (SSO). In making these changes, we have followed the recommended WCAG guidelines to meet priority AA.
The Noise App works across a range of devices and takes advantage of built-in accessibility features such as screen readers (both android and iOS), magnifiers and text enhancing settings. The app content is also accessible; we have ensured that users are guided through the app and know what will happen when they press a link or use a field.
With our SSO website, each page is accessible in terms of its structure and content. Pages are concise and to the point, with clear headings and a suitable amount of spacing for users who need focus. The SSO website is mobile compatible and can be used by those who are unable to use a mouse.
