The John Connell Awards: The Noise App Award Winner
26th October 2021 The Noise App
Last Wednesday, members of RHE Global attended the Palace of Westminster to sponsor The Noise App Award at the John Connel Noise Abatement Society event. This event was hosted by Colonel Bob Stewart DSO, Member of Parliament for Beckenham and awards were presented by Minister Jo Churchill, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Defra and Member of Parliament for Bury St Edmunds.
The event was a great success and showcased many innovative noise nuisance solutions from around the UK including a special award around Soundscaping for the pupils of St Oscar Romero Catholic School.
The Noise App award was won by North Somerset Council for its innovative use during the pandemic in responding to multi-agency reports of loud music, harassment, child neglect and domestic violence where a successful injunction was enabled as a result of evidence gathered through The Noise App.
Dee Mawn, Environmental Health Service Manager from North Somerset Council had the following to say: “Thank you so much, we are thrilled at receiving such a prestigious award. It means so much to the team to know that all the hard work has been recognised. We thoroughly enjoyed the ceremony, together with our visit to the Palace of Westminster.”
RHE Global looks forward to supporting further events from the Noise Abatement Society and wish all the winners luck in their future endeavours. You can read more about the winners here - https://noiseabatementsociety.org/campaigns/john-connell-awards/
