What is RIAMS?
9th February 2022 RIAMS
RIAMS (Regulatory Information and Management Systems) has been on the market for well over a decade, providing a wide range of up-to-date, relevant and reliable information for regulatory professionals.
While the majority of that time has been focused on environmental health professionals within the local authority setting, we have now brought this innovative platform to registered providers of social housing and have worked with key community safety experts to create this new resource.
Janine Green is an award-winning author, trainer and consultant in community safety and anti-social behaviour (ASB), with over 14 years’ experience in the industry.
Jim Nixon has been working in the field of community safety and ASB for over 25 years, starting out with West Midlands Police. He has also worked with ASB teams in social housing and has more recently become the ASB operations lead for a Midlands based local authority.
Nick Dodgeon has 30 years’ experience working in local government and the social housing sector, including 15 years specialising in leading community safety teams and developing policies and procedures to tackle anti-social behaviour.
RIAMS itself is split into two parts, Libraries, where you can find all your procedures, template notices, letters, forms and other documents that support you in your role, and Communities, where you can collaborate and share information with other professionals in your field.
At a time where many are hybrid-working or working from home, ensuring consistency in your teams is essential. Everyone needs to follow the same processes, use the same versions of documents and follow the correct legal procedures; RIAMS Libraries was the first platform on the market in the UK to deliver on these needs. Our in-house team of developers work tirelessly to keep the platform up to date with new functionalities and provide a user-friendly service that works on a range of devices and browsers.
Our team of authors, headed up by Chief Editor Ian Marriner, diligently create and update content for you, so you don’t have to. This can free up significant resources within your team, which can then be reassigned to other matters. All content on RIAMS Libraries is reviewed annually and when new regulations come in or are amended, any affected content on the platform is updated swiftly, ensuring that you always have access to the most up-to-date versions.
