This week it’s ASB Awareness Week, an annual campaign organised by Resolve. During this week, we are going to be focusing on some of the resources we have already developed, along with those in the pipeline, to support community safety professionals.

This autumn, we’re excited to be launching our new RIAMS Community Safety streaming and content service, kicking off this launch with a free-to-all webinar in September, entitled ‘The Future of ASB’. This event will be hosted by award-winning specialist in community safety and ASB, Janine Green. Janine is nationally recognised as a leading ASB and community safety practitioner, working closely with government bodies, police, social housing providers, to name but a few. Given her breadth of experience and knowledge, a further programme of events has been organised to take place on a monthly basis over the coming year. Subscribers to the RIAMS Community Safety service will then be able to access further 3-hour live and interactive webinars every month, looking at topics such as harm-centred approaches, effective investigation and hate crime in housing. 

This first session will explore current changes to housing regulation and the powers of the ombudsman. It will reflect on the need to ensure ASB is well managed and look at what organisations can now start considering in preparation, as well as briefly exploring the changes to the private rented sector and how this might impact on ASB management.
