28th July 2022 Training
Managing ASB and The ASB Act 2014
Environmental health teams and community safety professionals are, every day, continuing their often hidden but vital work of ensuring that we are all safe, well and healthy in our homes, places of work and when we’re out there in our communities.
The need for teams to be competent in their areas of work has never been more important, and RHE Global has been at the forefront of delivering know-how via its RIAMS service and the training that it delivers to the public sector. We recently added two new courses to our portfolio: Managing ASB and The ASB Act 2014.
These courses are delivered by Phil Connor and are suitable for both local authority and social housing staff. Phil is an ASB and community safety expert with a wealth of experience in this sector, leading countrywide housing, local authority and multi-agency teams to achieve significant results, including the award-winning Project Solace in Gloucestershire.
Managing ASB
Designed for those responsible for managing ASB and those who wish to develop their knowledge around effective ASB management, this course will deliver an ASB tools-and-powers overview, illustrate casework management principles and develop skills in witness and victim support, alongside those for managing conflict. It will provide housing associations and local authorities that offer social housing with staff who can demonstrate competence and best practice in ASB case management.

The ASB Act 2014
This course provides a complete overview of the ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014, explaining the basis and context for the legislation, the appropriate use of the tools and powers and how to prepare relevant evidence. Although online, the course is highly interactive, using real-world scenarios to demonstrate the appropriate legal response.
