Manchester City Council is seeking motivated and committed individuals to join its Housing Compliance and Enforcement Team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in improving housing standards, protecting public health, and ensuring residents have access to safe, healthy, and well-maintained homes across the city.
Essential Requirements
Qualified in the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) or willing to work towards the qualification.
Strong knowledge and practical application of housing legislation, or a degree/HNC in Environmental Health.
Ability to investigate cases, manage workloads effectively, and work flexibly using digital systems and site-based inspections.
Additional Information
Successful candidates must provide two references, ideally covering a three- year employment history.
The role is subject to BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance, including identity, right-to-work, employment history, and basic criminal record checks.
Candidates must demonstrate their legal right to work in the UK before employment commences.
This is a Casual Car User role. Occasional business travel may be required, and mileage expenses are
paid where applicable.
