HHSRS 2026 Case Studies Now Available

RHE Global

A comprehensive set of case studies to support practitioners in England with assessments under the new Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) are now available.

Developed and designed as part of the HHSRS review commissioned by the Government, these case studies, previously known as worked examples, form an essential tool to promote consistent and robust hazard assessments across the 21 hazards.

With 81 case studies across 79 documents, including an introductory guidance document and index, they support the updated 3-part statutory Operating Guidance and implementation of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2026, which come into force on 23 June 2026.

To get practitioners up to speed – our HHSRS 2026 Transition Training is available now. Delivering three hours CPD, this e-learning is designed for practitioners already competent in HHSRS, to update your knowledge and familiarise you with the key changes introduced through the 2026 regulations.

We also have our revised HHSRS Scorecard Calculator now available on RIAMS Libraries. And the team behind The Housing App will soon be bringing you a free digital solution, able to be used on any web browser. We’ll be demonstrating this new free tool at our Housing Roundtable on 23rd June, so don’t forget to book a place!
